Privacy Policy

BetweenUs — anonymous venting & connection

Last updated: 29 May 2026

BetweenUs ("we", "the app") is built to be anonymous by design. This policy explains what we do and don't collect, how data is stored, and how you can delete it. By using BetweenUs you agree to this policy.

1. What we do NOT collect

2. What we DO collect

To run the app, we store the following under an anonymous account identifier (a random ID created by Firebase Anonymous Authentication — it is not linked to your real identity):

3. How data is stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database) in the asia-southeast1 (Singapore) region. Google processes this data on our behalf under their security and privacy terms. Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

4. Third-party services

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

5. Anonymity & safety

Your posts and chats are tied to your random handle, never to a personal identity. Other users only ever see your handle. You can change your handle at any time. You can block or report any user from the "…" menu.

6. Deleting your data

In the app, open Settings → Delete account & data. This removes your profile node and signs you out. To request full deletion of any residual content, email us at the address below and we will remove it.

7. Children

BetweenUs is not directed to children under 13. The Connect (dating) feature is for users 18 and older. Do not use the app if you are under the applicable minimum age in your country.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
